Awards

We started out the competition season with third place at the Los Angeles Regional. Then, at the San Diego Regional, our alliance won second place. Our strong lifting mechanism played a large part in our scoring success. We also won the Imagery Award, given to the team with the most overall professional and uniform "look" at the competitions, at the San Diego regional because of our success in our year-long goal: to have a professional, uniform, look and presence at the competitions. Students spent a lot of time ordering, designing, and making our uniforms, which are professional jumpsuits with our logo and sponsors on them. The theme of our program is the "penguin" and we also used that theme on our robot (which was spray painted black & white), in addition to our uniforms. It was this uniformity that the judges felt was a great representation of how teams should present themselves at the competitions.
