Engineering Academy Four Year Plan

Engineering Academy Four Year Plan

DPEA students will be enrolled in a three-year series of integrated curriculum

that will collectively cover the content contained in a standard laboratory science physics course, a standard Visual and Performing Arts sculpture course, and an engineering elective course. They will be enrolled in this course for one period in their freshman, sophomore, and junior year. During their senior year, DPEA students will be enrolled in one period of Advanced Engineering (that will be taught during the regular school day) and two ROP Robotics courses (that will be taught outside of the regular school day).

All DPEA students are required to be enrolled in Geometry (or higher) during their freshman year, and to continue progressing through an appropriate college preparatory mathematics sequence for all four years at DPHS.

Students prepared to take advanced coursework are encouraged to take AP Physics and AP Computer Science during their junior and senior years.
