Application Process

If you are interested in being considered for acceptance into the Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy, please follow the steps below:

1. If you live outside of the Dos Pueblos High School attendance area, please make sure that you have an approved intradistrict transfer before beginning the application process. For more information about the intradistrict transfer process, please click here.
2. Review the DPEA website, including four-year plans and application overview, with your parent/guardian in order to help you determine if this academic program is appropriate for you. This website will provide answers to many questions that you and your parent/guardian may have about the DPEA.
3. If you want to visit the DPEA, please request to shadow the DPEA.
4. Ask your parent/guardian to contact your Dos Pueblos high school counselor and make sure that "Engineering Physics" has been selected as your first choice for your freshmen science class.
5. Complete the DPEA application for admission.
6. Place all of your application materials into a 9" x 12" envelope. Please do not fold or staple any documents because they will be photocopied and distributed to our application committee. Your completed application will include the following:
• A completed application for admission
• A current copy of your seventh and eighth grade junior high or middle school unofficial academic transcript
• Do not include personal letters, letters of recommendation, or any other materials not explicitly requested. These materials will not be reviewed.
7. Please refer to the table below to determine the turn-in location and due date for your application.
